International Week

Tuesday 27 March – Thursday 29 March

International Week a new initiative by the USU to promote the amazing cultural diversity we have on campus. It's a three-day showcase of the unique customs, languages and costumes from the many different nationalities and ethnic groups here at Sydney University - bringing everyone together to enjoy!

There will be a heap of fun and interesting activities for culture-hungry students, such as interactive games, language corners, foreign language calligraphy, prize giveaways, world music, international film screenings as well as talks and workshops designed especially for international students. One of the talks will provide useful information and tips for sucess with the IELTS test. The second workshop, in collaboration with the Careers Centre, will help prime international students to find casual or part time employment while in Australia, including tips for finding jobs and interviews.

We are also encouraging students to send photographs of their home cities and/or places overseas that students have visited to generate a global interest for domestic students. In doing so, we hope domestic students, here at the University of Sydney, will take a more active role in integrating overseas students into domestic campus community and activities.

And don't miss your chance to have a go on the awesome Surf Simulator on Tuesday 27 March!
